Happy dad & Mom
In Taiwan, vaccines for babies are subsidized by the government and babies should receive the recommended standard vaccines. New parents may not be aware or have much knowledge about these vaccines. Hence, it would be convenient if there was a platform that could help them learn about vaccines and know when and where to get a shot, and how much does it cost. Besides the above information, the website would also help users plan the route for getting to the clinics and hospitals that provide vaccination services.

What I did in the project
I was responsible for converting the interface design into real code, and programming some functions, such as listing the vaccines babies should receive and those that they have not yet received, and inserting Google Map API into our website. On account of time limitations, we had to complete this project in a rush. After the presentation, I realized that there is nothing more important for the success of a project than teamwork. The only way we were able to finish this project was by the appropriate division of labor.
Home Page
The primary users are new parents. Therefore, we made sure that the interfaces would convey health concepts in a fun format, so that new parents would feel positive and relaxed about having a new baby. By entering the baby’s birthday, the system would remind parents of how many vaccines their baby had to receive. And from their address it could locate the user and show the clinics and hospitals where vaccinations were available nearest to the user.
Main Page
By entering the main page, the system lists how many vaccines that babies should receive, where they can get vaccinated, and whether the vaccine is subsidized by the government. Users could add which clinic they wanted to go to into the list, and then the system would provide the shortest and fastest route.
By hovering the mouse on the upper left side label, there is a collapsible space that would tell users basic knowledge about every vaccine, such as their names and what potential side effects the vaccines may cause. In this way, new parents could gain a preliminarily understanding of the different types of vaccines.
